CVAP Week 2: 'The Value of Challenge'

I think my creative juices are starting to fill up my daydreaming self, though I'm not sure if it is really or I'm just imagining it but one thing for sure, I'm still holding myself before I turn into sluggish (again).

This is a tiring week for me. The real challenge is now on our path before we reach the title 'Certified Voice Artist'. We are just starting, and this week test my strength on both of my assignments and duties as an assistant leader of our group, Voix ng Bayan.

It's been so long since I handled this type of position for a group. I need to do my responsibilities and I can't just leave behind my members. It is not my aim to just lead myself among everyone else. As an asst. leader, I want all of us to work as one because in reality, I can't shoulder this alone. I experienced before the hardship of working by myself without the help of others and I don't want to happen that on my group.

Every one of us have this one goal, 'to graduate in CVAP Batch 20--- without anyone falling behind'. To make that work, helping is the right answer.

I was blown away when I witnessed how helping became the vital role for the preparation for the recital. Because of this, we established the plot, plan and presentation is just few days! That's fast and unexpected. Well, I want to share it with you but that's not a right idea. I might spoil the fun so, just wait for its release.

Aside from that, I noticed that some of my team is perplexed on how to do some of the assignments, especially using Audacity. Since I have experiences on using it, I managed a meeting with them and taught them yesterday via Gmeet. That was fun and cool because they understood my lesson without worry. That gave us closeness and being comfortable with each other.

It is amazing how giving help can influence a group and more people. It can change your perspective and see a wider view that's hidden in a plain sight. It drives everyone to work together and be kinder. A small act of kindness can bring great help and happiness to anyone.

Now I remembered the story of Sir Pocholo Gonzales before he became 'The VoiceMaster of the Philippines', "tumutulong kahit pinagdamutan." I realized that those who are willing to give receive abundance of blessings.

I'll keep this forever in mind.
